This would have been done in Remote 1.11 beta (what was current at the time of this article’s writing).

It appears that the functionality was removed–major bummer–at least according to this post by Stas Yatsenko on their support forums. He also provides a link to an older version that retains the AF calibration functionality.

What version did you use that had the AF micro adjustments? It Remote 2.2.5 it seems to no longer be there.

It’s actually a MTF test chart used by software like Imatest. I used it at one point trying since I though it might give a better visual indicator when it was in best focus (the theory was you’d see more of the fine lines). It didn’t really make a difference.

I just use a single sharp black line on a white background now.
